Bernal Dogs is a discussion group for people who walk their dogs on Bernal Hill (in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco), who want to be touch with each other on issues like off-leash policies, coyote sightings, dog poop etiquette, native plant concerns, and anything else that's new and exciting. Bernal Hill Park Association was created to have a place to talk, share and explore being neighbors. This is an amazing community with a great spirit. Let’s put that to work for us and envision the world we want to inhabit. Big Rec Dog Assocaiation; a casual pack of dogs, that have happily played in the area above the Big Rec ball fields in Golden Gate Park for longer than any of us can remember, formed to protect our special off-leash space from unilateral reclassification by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. Big Rec Dog will do everything in our power to keep Big Rec the open public space it has been for over 100 years, where active and passive users have gathered in harmony to run, play, talk, or just lay down in the grass; building the community that make urban life livable. Crissy Field Dog Group is a 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to promoting and ensuring responsible off-leash recreation at San Francisco's Crissy Field. D5DOG is a San Francisco neighborhood organization of dog guardians and dog lovers who care deeply about the health and welfare of our canine companions as well as the safety and vitality of our local parks, neighborhoods and community. Defender of Dogs is a non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement of dog parks. By encoraging people to get out and spend time with their dogs we believe we will help improve the community. DogPAC is a political action committee dedicated to electing dog-friendly candidates for city offices in San Francisco. Dolores Park Dogs is a growing organization committed to promoting the rights of dogs and dog guardians in the park, through education, outreach and public service. Duboce Dog is an informal group of dog owners who wish to keep Duboce Park a safe and pleasant place. They have put forth a proposal to RPD for an offical Dog Play Area, but are not affiliated with any city or federal government nor are they currently affiliated with the Friends of Duboce Park. Friends of César Chávez Park (FCCP) is a grassroots organization that successfully lobbied the City of Berkeley to establish the off-leash area. We work together with the City Parks and Waterfront staff to assess the condition of the area, and ensure its success.
